EXPLANATION OF "CARPE THIS"

Basically, this song was written from a skateboarder's point of view. A skateboarder isn't allowed too many freedoms around town when it comes to where he or she wants to ride. I wrote this song after being told countless times that I "can't skate here." The term "carpe this" literally means "seize this." It's kind of a retort to the seizing of a basic freedom such as being able to skate where you want. The property is public property and you aren't allowed to skate there. They seize your skating freedom. You say, "Yeah well, seize this!" You should take this song pretty lightly. It's really a minor issue when it comes down to it.
