"Descent" is a journey into the process that I have gone through so many times in my life. I'll come to a point in my life where I am faced with a challege or an obstacle of some sort. When I try to overcome it on my own I fail most of the time. I fall into a sin or something of the sort and it brings me down. I usually hit a point where I feel like I've been through the wringer. Usually when I feel that I can't go any lower(on account of hitting bottom) I call on God in desperation. He lifts me up and brings me back into His arms and forgives me when I ask. This is one thing that I can't really understand. I cannot comprehend the infinite love of God. No matter what I've done, He's always ready to forgive and take me back. There's a line in a Petra song that relates to this. "You say you've walked 10,000 steps away, well don't you know that it's only one step back." When I'm back in God's care and living the way I should, I feel so much better. When I ask for His help in overcoming an obstacle or a temptation in life, He is always there to aid me in my struggle.
